Kate Childs Graham, a.k.a. KCG, is a conceptual artist. Her work challenges binaries, explores identities, and uses clay, cement, metal, wood, and found objects to tell stories. Her work has been shown in art centers and galleries throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and across the country.

KCG has been a political speechwriter and communications strategist for the past 20 years. She has served on campaigns, in Congress, and as Vice President Kamala Harris’ Director of Speechwriting in the White House. The power of her pen drives the narrative behind her art.

With a B.A. in History from the Catholic University of America and a M.A. in Gender and Peacebuilding from the University for Peace in Costa Rica, KCG has been taught how to make art by artists in her family and community. Today, she works out of her studio just outside of Washington, D.C.
